The highly anticipated crime thriller ‘Uninvited’, an official entry to the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024, is set to captivate international audiences as it premieres in cinemas across the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar on January 2, 2025.

Directed by Dan Villegas, this gripping film stars a powerhouse cast featuring Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, and Nadine Lustre. Produced by Mentorque Productions in collaboration with Project 8 Projects, ‘Uninvited’ has already garnered critical acclaim in the Philippines, making it a standout entry in this year’s MMFF.

‘Uninvited’ revolves around the story of Lilia Capistrano, played by Vilma Santos, a mother who adopts the alias Eva Candelaria to seek revenge on billionaire Guilly Vega (portrayed by Aga Muhlach) for the murder of her daughter, Lily. The narrative unfolds in the backdrop of Guilly’s extravagant 55th birthday celebration, where secrets unravel, alliances are tested, and justice takes center stage. The film also introduces Nadine Lustre as Nicole Vega, adding complexity to the story of family and betrayal.

Upon its release in the Philippines, ‘Uninvited’ received accolades for its stellar performances, masterful cinematography by Pao Orendain, and a haunting soundtrack featuring the original theme song “Hahamakin ang Lahat.” The film not only captivated audiences but also earned nominations for Best Actress (Vilma Santos), Best Supporting Actress (Gabby Padilla and Nadine Lustre), and Best Cinematography at the MMFF Awards Night.

The international leg of the film’s release kicks off in the Middle East, followed by showings in North America (USA and Canada) on January 10, 2025, Malta on January 19, 2025, and Paris, France, on January 26, 2025. Screenings in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Italy are also on the horizon, with dates to be announced soon.
