Ultra-fast Starlink now available in UAE with plans starting at AED 230 a month

SpaceX’s satellite internet service Starlink has begun offering residential and commercial subscriptions in the UAE, with the country now appearing as active on the company’s official availability map.

Pricing starts at Dh230 per month for the entry-level Residential Lite plan, while the standard residential package runs approximately Dh300 monthly. Businesses can access a separate tier at Dh248 per month.

The UAE’s addition to Starlink’s live service list marks a significant shift for the Gulf state, which had long been among the region’s notable holdouts. The UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority had been developing a broader regulatory framework for satellite internet resellers, with a formal licence granted to Starlink Satellite Communications Services LLC in June 2024, valid for ten years through June 2034. That earlier licence, however, had been specific to maritime satellite internet services.

The SpaceX-operated network uses a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites — flying at far lower altitudes than traditional geostationary systems — to deliver faster speeds and lower latency to areas where fixed-line or mobile infrastructure is limited. Starlink currently operates in more than 100 countries, with the GCC gradually opening up to the service in recent years. Oman became the first Gulf country to offer Starlink to both residential and business customers when the service launched there in March 2025, with Bahrain following in mid-May.

In the aviation sector, the service has already taken hold among UAE carriers. Emirates began equipping aircraft with Starlink-powered Wi-Fi in late 2025, with a target to outfit 150 aircraft by the end of 2026 as part of a broader plan to retrofit its entire wide-body fleet by mid-2027. Flydubai has also announced plans to bring Starlink to the majority of its fleet during 2026.Starlink goes live in UAE with residential and business plans from AED 230
