UAE welcomes 17th group of injured Palestinian children and cancer patients for treatment

On Thursday, the UAE welcomed the 17th group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients as part of a significant health initiative directed by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Arriving from Al Arish International Airport in Egypt, the group landed at Zayed International Airport, where they were accompanied by family members in urgent need of medical care.

Medical teams were on site to immediately transport those requiring immediate attention to hospitals, while others were escorted to Emirates Humanitarian City for their stay.

This initiative, aimed at treating 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from Gaza, underscores the UAE’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare and addressing the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. The UAE’s efforts include the establishment of a field hospital in Gaza and a floating hospital in Arish, enhancing the medical infrastructure with ambulances, equipment, medicines, and supplies.

This program is part of a broader strategy by the UAE to mitigate the impacts of the healthcare collapse in Gaza and to provide sustained support to the Palestinian people during ongoing crises.
