The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a yellow alert today, November 16, warning of fresh northwesterly winds reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h and rough sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf. Waves are expected to reach up to 7 feet, with conditions forecasted to last until 9 p.m.
The NCM advises caution for outdoor activities as moderate to rough sea conditions are anticipated in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea remains mostly calm.
Across the UAE, residents can expect a fair day with occasional clouds, especially in eastern areas. While temperatures may drop in some parts, reaching lows of 16°C in mountainous areas, the night and Sunday morning could bring higher humidity and a chance of mist, particularly inland.
Humidity is expected to vary widely, from a low of 20% in parts of Abu Dhabi to a high of 85% in Dubai. Daytime temperatures are forecasted to reach around 30°C in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, slightly cooler than the previous day’s high of 32°C.
