Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities announced on Thursday that it has incorporated a new academic subject, titled Sheikh Zayed Legacy of Peaceful Coexistence, into its curriculum. This marks the first time a university will highlight the life and contributions of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The subject will provide students with an in-depth understanding of Sheikh Zayed’s character, vision, and insights. In addition to covering his standpoints on pivotal issues in the Arab region and globally, the curriculum aims to emphasize his enduring commitment to coexistence and unity. Under Sheikh Zayed’s leadership, these values transformed the UAE into a beacon for promoting harmony and unity on both regional and global platforms.
Sheikh Zayed, revered for laying the foundations of development in the emirates, is recognized for making the UAE’s dream a reality on December 2, 1971. Since its formation, the UAE has experienced significant growth and development in numerous sectors.
Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities is honored to offer this course, highlighting the defining moments of Sheikh Zayed’s life from his formative years to the legacy he left behind. The university aims to enlighten new generations about the Al Nahyan family’s honorable history, the challenges of establishing the UAE, and Sheikh Zayed’s instrumental role in navigating those challenges.
