UAE tops global postal awards for customer service and performance

The UAE has once again proven its strength in the logistics sector after Emirates Post earned two of the highest recognitions in the international postal community. The country secured first place worldwide in the Customer Service category for express mail and received the Gold Performance Award for 2024 from the Universal Postal Union (UPU) through its Express Mail Service Cooperative.

The awards were conferred ahead of the 28th Universal Postal Congress, hosted by the UAE from September 8 to 19, 2025, underscoring the country’s rising influence in shaping the global postal industry.

The recognition came after a rigorous assessment of operational efficiency across global networks, responsiveness, customer satisfaction, and delivery compliance. Emirates Post scored between 95 to 98 percent in all service phases—from shipment receipt to final delivery and post-delivery support.

Tariq Al Wahedi, Congress Chair Designate and Group CEO of 7X, said, “This recognition highlights our wise leadership’s vision of utilising innovation to elevate the UAE’s position on the global stage and also reinforces our dedication to developing an advanced postal system.” He added that the achievement marks the start of a more ambitious phase for Emirates Post, with a focus on strategic partnerships, sustainable digital solutions, and high-performance operations.

Officials highlighted that these milestones align with the UAE Centennial Plan 2071, reflecting the nation’s commitment to digital transformation and global logistics integration.
