UAE to grant 500 scholarships to international students for 2025-2026 school year

Al Qasimia University (AQU) in Sharjah is opening doors to global learners once again, with 500 scholarships approved for international students for the upcoming academic year 2025-2026.

The move comes following the official approval of the university’s financial budget by Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. His directive reflects his continued commitment to making world-class education accessible to students from around the globe.

The scholarships are available for both male and female students accepted into the university’s wide range of programs, covering the first semester (fall) of the new academic year. Currently, AQU is home to students from 133 nationalities, and this latest initiative is expected to further strengthen its diverse academic community.

According to Khaleej Times, the budget will support not just student tuition, but also academic programs, campus facilities, scientific research, and community engagement efforts—ensuring a holistic and high-quality learning environment.

Students admitted to the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, College of Arts and Humanities, College of Economics and Administration, College of Communication, and College of the Holy Quran are among those eligible for the scholarships.
