The UAE is set to experience a perfectly balanced day and night on Tuesday, March 11, marking the arrival of spring. According to UAE BARQ, both daylight and nighttime will last exactly 12 hours, signifying the seasonal transition.
The Spring Equinox not only brings equal day and night but also signals the start of warmer temperatures across the country. As the season progresses, days will become longer, with the sun rising earlier and setting later.
Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society, explained the phenomenon, stating, “On Tuesday, the UAE will experience equal day and night, with each lasting 12 hours from sunrise to sunset and sunset to sunrise. Following this, the daylight will begin to increase, marking the beginning of the spring season in March.”
With longer daylight hours ahead, residents can expect rising temperatures as the UAE transitions fully into spring.
