UAE slams Iran’s attack on Qatar air base, calls for end to regional escalation

The United Arab Emirates has strongly denounced the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s strike on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, labeling the action as a blatant breach of Qatari sovereignty and a serious violation of international law.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE described the assault as a clear threat to Qatar’s safety and a destabilizing move that endangers the broader region.

Reaffirming its close ties with Qatar, the UAE voiced “full solidarity” with the Gulf state and declared its firm backing for “all measures taken to protect the security and safety of its citizens and residents.”

The ministry also issued a grave warning on the consequences of continued military escalation, cautioning that such actions could spiral into a wider regional crisis with severe global implications.

Stressing the urgency of diplomacy, the UAE urged all parties to return to dialogue and uphold the principles of good neighborliness to resolve tensions and safeguard peace across the region.
