Debris has landed across parts of Abu Dhabi and Dubai after UAE air defense systems intercepted and destroyed another barrage of Iranian missiles and drones targeting the country Saturday, the Ministry of Defence announced.
It was the third such wave to be engaged by Emirati defense systems since hostilities escalated following US and Israeli strikes on Iran. The Ministry said the interceptions were carried out with high efficiency and that no material damage resulted from the operation. No injuries were reported.
The Ministry characterized the strikes as a direct violation of national sovereignty and international law, stating that the UAE retains the full right to take whatever measures are necessary to defend its territory, people, and sovereign integrity.
Wreckage from the intercepted projectiles came down across multiple locations in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, though authorities said the intercepts were completed before any impact damage occurred. Defense forces described their readiness level as complete, with all required protocols in place to counter further attempts to destabilize the country.
The safety of citizens, residents, and visitors was identified as an absolute and non-negotiable priority, with the Ministry affirming that protective measures would continue to be applied firmly against any threat.
Residents and the wider public were urged to rely exclusively on official UAE sources for information and to refrain from circulating unverified reports or rumors as the situation continues to develop.
