Carlos Yulo’s victory at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where he won two gold medals, continues to earn him recognition beyond the Philippines. Barako Grill, a Filipino restaurant based in Umm Al Quwain, UAE, announced on its Facebook page that it will be offering Yulo a lifetime of free crispy pata, a popular Filipino dish, in honor of his achievements.
Barako Grill is known for its authentic Filipino cuisine and is located inside the Pearl Hotel. The restaurant has become a favorite among both Filipinos and non-Filipinos in the area, thanks to its fresh and traditional dishes.
With this gesture, Yulo has another reason to visit the UAE, knowing that Barako Grill will welcome him with a complimentary meal whenever he’s in town.
As of August 11, Yulo has also been showered with various rewards for his Olympic success, including cash incentives, real estate, free flights, and business packages from different companies in the Philippines. Among the notable rewards are a P35-million three-bedroom condo, lifetime free pizza and ice cream, and a business package worth P1 million.
