The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has closed the Koshary and Halwani Al Tahrir Restaurant for breaches of food safety regulations. The decision came after the restaurant was discovered to be violating Law No. (2) of 2008, a principal legislation concerning food safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
According to ADAFSA’s statement, the restaurant, with trade license number CN-3824604, “posed a significant risk to public health” due to its practices. Law No. 2 underscores the protection of consumers and emphasizes the role of both the private sector and food inspectors in maintaining the highest food safety standards, whether the food is imported or managed locally.
ADAFSA actively conducts inspections at food establishments throughout the emirate, ensuring adherence to health and food safety standards for the safety and well-being of the community.
Members of the public are encouraged to report any safety concerns or violations to the authorities by dialing 800555.
