President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 1,295 prisoners from correctional facilities across the UAE, offering them a new beginning in time for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
As part of this humanitarian gesture, the UAE President will also cover the financial obligations tied to their sentences, easing their transition back into society.
The initiative reflects Sheikh Mohamed’s dedication to giving inmates a second chance while also easing the burden on their families and promoting stability within the community. It aims to bring comfort and joy to their loved ones during this sacred time.
Ramadan is expected to commence on March 1.
