UAE police arrest two for hiding over 2kg of drugs in the desert

Law enforcement authorities have arrested two individuals involved in a significant drug trafficking operation in Umm Al Quwain. The suspects had hidden over 10 kilograms of illegal substances in a remote desert area, Khaleej Times reported.

Acting on a tip-off from the Department of Narcotics Control at Dubai Police, suspicions arose regarding two individuals smuggling narcotics and concealing them in the desert. This information prompted the formation of a joint team, involving the General Directorate of Drugs Control of the Ministry of Interior, to conduct a thorough search and investigation.

The investigation successfully identified and apprehended the suspects, leading to the seizure of the narcotics. The individuals arrested have been referred to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.
