Fujairah Police announced the arrest of several reckless drivers in the Al Faqit area, confirming their referral to Public Prosecution.
This incident follows a similar crackdown earlier this year when authorities apprehended drivers involved in illegal racing in Al Sodah. The March incident, captured on surveillance footage, showed a vehicle losing control, veering off the road, spinning, and crashing into a rail barrier.
After videos of the illegal race went viral in early 2024, Fujairah Police acted swiftly, identifying and arresting those responsible. Authorities continue to emphasize strict action against dangerous driving behaviors in the emirate.
