The UAE and Mongolia have taken a significant step towards strengthening their bilateral relations by signing a visa-free travel agreement. This new arrangement, effective from December 28, 2023, allows citizens of both countries to travel between the UAE and Mongolia without a visa, promoting ease of movement and fostering closer ties.
Under the terms of the memorandum of understanding (MoU), UAE nationals holding regular, diplomatic, special, and mission passports are permitted to enter Mongolia for up to 30 days per visit without a visa. Similarly, Mongolian citizens with diplomatic, official, and regular passports can enter the UAE visa-free.
The MoU was officially signed by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, the UAE Minister of State, and Battsetseg Batmunkh, the Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs. This agreement marks a milestone in the diplomatic relations between the two countries, signifying their commitment to enhancing joint cooperation in various fields such as politics, economics, culture, and education.
This visa exemption is expected to increase tourism, cultural exchange, and economic collaboration between the UAE and Mongolia, reflecting the shared interests and aspirations of both nations.
