Ten Asian sailors were successfully rescued after a fire broke out on their commercial vessel off the coast of the UAE, authorities confirmed.
The incident took place on April 24, when the ship reported a fire while navigating at sea. Emergency response teams from the National Search and Rescue Center, working in coordination with the Coast Guard Group of the UAE National Guard, promptly launched a rescue operation.
All crew members were safely evacuated with no injuries reported, according to officials. The swift response was carried out in line with the country’s safety protocols.
The mission is part of the National Guard’s ongoing efforts to bolster maritime safety and respond quickly to emergencies at sea.
