Long-term transport planning and continued infrastructure upgrades have placed the United Arab Emirates among the top-performing countries globally for road quality in 2025, according to an international assessment released by Daily Jang.
The study positions the UAE as the highest-ranked nation in the Arab world and the wider region, while securing fourth place internationally. The result reflects how the country’s road network compares with global benchmarks in safety, design, and reliability.
Analysts behind the ranking pointed to the scale and condition of the UAE’s highways and urban roads, noting that they are built to accommodate high traffic volumes while maintaining safety standards. Advanced engineering practices, consistent upkeep, and the use of modern construction techniques were identified as key contributors to the country’s standing.
The report also highlighted the growing role of technology across the UAE’s transport system. Smart traffic management tools and digital monitoring systems have been integrated to reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, and enhance overall road safety, supporting the country’s broader mobility objectives.
Sustained public investment in transport infrastructure was cited as a central factor behind the UAE’s performance, with road development treated as a long-term priority aligned with economic growth and urban expansion.
