The UAE has introduced an innovative system that automatically lifts travel bans and unfreezes bank funds following the payment of dues. This pioneering initiative, the first in both the UAE and the region, marks a significant advancement in judicial enforcement procedures.
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has spearheaded the adoption of this new system, which is designed to meticulously track the status of payments related to judicial enforcement decisions. Upon the completion of the required payments by a respondent, the system automatically cancels the original enforcement decision. This process, including electronic approval, is then communicated directly to the relevant authorities.
One of the most notable benefits of this system is the elimination of the need for individuals to physically gather and present documents to prove payment and secure the cancellation of enforcement decisions. This automation not only simplifies the process but also ensures its execution without the need for direct intervention by enforcement officers or judges.
In instances where travel bans are imposed due to non-payment, the affected individuals can now conveniently download a copy of the cancellation decision through a smart application. This document serves as proof, enabling them to proceed with travel plans and present the soft copy when necessary.
Similarly, for cases involving arrest warrants or seizure orders on deposits and bank accounts due to payment failures, respondents can present a physical copy of the cancellation decision to facilitate the lifting of these restrictions.
Furthermore, this innovative system enhances communication and monitoring within the judicial system. It automatically notifies judges and officers about case updates, ensuring consistent follow-ups and monitoring of each case.
