UAE issues fog warning, forecasts rainfall and cooler temperatures today

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has alerted motorists to poor visibility on Friday morning due to dense fog. The weather authority raised a red alert, warning that horizontal visibility could drop significantly in some internal areas until 9:30 a.m.

The NCM also forecasted partly cloudy to cloudy conditions throughout most of the country, with a chance of rainfall in the eastern and northern regions. Humidity is expected to increase by night and continue into Saturday morning, potentially leading to mist formation in some areas.

Temperatures will range from as low as 16ºC in mountainous regions to up to 33ºC in internal areas, with highs of 32ºC in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Light to moderate winds, occasionally becoming fresh, are anticipated. The Arabian Gulf will experience moderate to rough seas, while the Oman Sea will remain slight.
