The UAE’s National Meteorological Centre has issued red and yellow warnings as thick fog enveloped large parts of the country, stretching from Ras Al Khaimah to Abu Dhabi. The fog is expected to significantly reduce visibility, particularly in the early morning hours, posing risks for motorists.
Authorities have urged drivers to reduce speed, maintain safe distances, and adhere to changing speed limits displayed on electronic boards. Abu Dhabi Police reduced speed limits on several roads, while Dubai Police cautioned drivers to exercise caution due to the low visibility.
Temperatures will reach highs of 38°C in Abu Dhabi and 37°C in Dubai, with humidity levels around 90%. Winds will be light to moderate, with fair weather expected overall, though the Arabian Gulf may become rough at times.
