The UAE has announced a decrease in fuel prices for September 2024, effective from September 1. The Ministry of Energy adjusts fuel prices each month based on global oil price trends, including the operational costs of distribution companies.
For September, the Fuel Prices Monitoring Committee has reduced rates by 15 fils per litre compared to August. The new prices are Dh2.90 for Super 98 petrol, Dh2.78 for Special 95 petrol, and Dh2.71 for E-plus 91 petrol.
Depending on the type of vehicle, motorists can save between Dh7.65 and Dh11.1 on a full tank of petrol this month compared to August. For instance, a compact car with a 51-litre tank will cost between Dh138.21 and Dh147.90 to fill up, while an SUV with a 74-litre tank will cost between Dh200.54 and Dh214.6, depending on the type of fuel used.
