UAE federal employees can now access banking services without salary certificates

Federal employees in the UAE no longer need to provide salary certificates when accessing banking services, thanks to a new partnership between the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) and Emirates NBD. Announced on Sunday, according to a Khaleej Times report, the initiative introduces a digital integration system that directly retrieves salary information, streamlining processes for over 45,000 federal employees across 50 government entities.

Traditionally, salary certificates, issued by employers upon request, were required for loans, credit cards, and other financial services. This new system eliminates the need for such physical documents, reducing bureaucracy and accelerating service delivery. Officials highlighted that the integration ensures secure data handling while enhancing service quality.

“This collaboration supports national efforts to achieve zero bureaucracy, reduce redundant procedures, and improve productivity, ultimately transforming government services,” said Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services in the UAE Government.
