The UAE recorded a minor earthquake late on Monday night. The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) confirmed that the tremor, measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale, occurred in the region of Masafi at 11.01 pm.
The NCM, through a post on social media platform X, informed the public that the earthquake was detected by the National Seismic Network. Despite being felt by some residents, the quake did not cause any significant impact or damage.
The NCM reassured the public that the situation is being closely monitored and there are no immediate concerns following the minor seismic event. Residents who experienced the tremor reported only slight sensations, with no harm to people or property.
