A Sharjah-based Indian expat, Aravind Appukuttan, became the latest Big Ticket millionaire, winning AED 25 million in the December 3 draw. Aravind, who works as a salesperson and has been purchasing tickets for two years, plans to share the prize with 20 people.
The winning ticket, number 447363, was a free entry that led to his unexpected windfall. When the Big Ticket team reached out to Aravind, he was out shopping and initially unaware of the exact amount he had won. Upon learning the full extent of his fortune, Aravind expressed plans to settle loans and save for the future.
“It’s still sinking in, but for now, I plan to use the winnings wisely. My message to fellow Big Ticket participants is simple: never give up and keep trying your luck,” he said in a Khaleej Times report.
The Big Ticket draw also crowned other winners, including Harun Rashid from Saudi Arabia, who won a BMW 840I in the ‘Dream Car’ giveaway, and four cash prize winners. The raffle operator announced a record AED 30-million prize up for grabs in December, with weekly draws offering cash prizes and a chance to win a Maserati Grecale in the January 3 live draw.
Tickets can be purchased online or at in-store counters at Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.
