UAE expat wins AED1 million in mall raffle after spending just AED200

A Jordanian expat residing in Abu Dhabi, has won a staggering Dh1 million in the ‘Mall Millionaire’ promotional campaign. This significant win comes after Mohammad Sameer spent only Dh200 at a shopping mall.

Organized by Line Investments and Property, the arm of Lulu Group International responsible for shopping mall development and management, the third edition of this promotion ran from December 8 to January 6. To participate, shoppers were required to spend a minimum of Dh200 at any of the 13 LuLu malls located across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, which would then earn them a coupon number for the raffle draw.

Sameer, who entered the draw with 14 coupons, expressed his astonishment and joy at winning such a substantial prize. A resident of the UAE since 2017, the 42-year-old told Khaleej Times that this was his first time winning a prize in any promotion or draw. He plans to use his windfall to buy a house and make some investments.

The ‘Mall Millionaire’ campaign did not just make one millionaire; it also awarded other significant prizes. Five lucky winners drove away with brand new Forthing T5 Evo electric cars. Additionally, the campaign offered Lulu trolley vouchers, Dh20,000 Laka gift cards, and various other prizes to shoppers.

The participating malls in the campaign included notable names such as Al Wahda Mall, Mushrif Mall, Khalidiyah Mall, and many others spread across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.
