UAE expands visa-on-arrival options for Indian nationals

The UAE has broadened its visa-on-arrival scheme for Indian nationals, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) announced. According to a WAM report, Indian passport holders with tourist visas for the UK and EU countries can now obtain a visa-on-arrival in the UAE, a benefit previously limited to those with US visas or residencies in the UK, US, or EU.

To qualify, both the visa and passport must be valid for at least six months. Eligible travellers can also obtain a 60-day visa for Dh250. Additionally, the cost for a 14-day visa is Dh100, with an extension option for Dh250.

This expansion reflects the UAE’s aim to strengthen ties with India and enhance its global tourism and economic presence, according to Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, director-general of the ICP.
