Authorities in the UAE have moved to reassure the public following a ballistic missile attack the Ministry of Defense attributed to Iran, stating that air defence systems responded effectively and that conditions across the country remain stable.
The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority issued a direct message to residents: “We reassure everyone that the situation is currently under control. The competent authorities are closely and continuously monitoring the situation at all times and around the clock, and all necessary precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of everyone.”
Air defence systems intercepted a number of the incoming missiles, the Ministry of Defense said, while debris from the strike landed in a residential area, causing material damage and killing one civilian of Asian nationality.
Despite the attack, authorities emphasized that the security situation nationwide has not been destabilized. Multiple agencies confirmed they are tracking developments on a continuous basis.
The Ministry condemned the strike in forceful terms, calling it a dangerous escalation and a violation of both national sovereignty and international law. The UAE, it said, holds the categorical right to respond and to take all measures necessary to protect its territory, citizens, and residents.
Officials also pushed back against the spread of misinformation, urging the public to rely solely on verified information from official UAE sources rather than unconfirmed reports circulating elsewhere.
