The UAE’s Cybersecurity Council issued a critical security alert on Wednesday, urging residents to immediately update their Apple device operating systems. Apple has recently identified “several critical security vulnerabilities” in some products, prompting the release of an OS update to mitigate these risks.
According to the council, failing to update could expose users to significant cybersecurity threats, including unauthorized device access, data theft, and the potential execution of malicious codes.
The advisory specifically targets all models of Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K, advising users to upgrade to tvOS 17.5. The UAE authority continues to monitor cybersecurity risks actively and update the public on necessary operating system changes to enhance protection.
