The Dar Al Ber Society launched a significant Ramadan campaign titled ‘O Seeker of Goodness, Come Forward’ on Thursday, with the aim of raising Dh160 million to support thousands of needy individuals across the globe, including those observing the fast during the holy month. Dr. Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO of Dar Al Ber, emphasized the campaign’s commitment to aiding the less fortunate, in line with the UAE leadership’s charitable directives, highlighting the essence of Ramadan’s spirit of generosity and solidarity.
The campaign encompasses 16 charitable projects and initiatives, benefiting both local and international communities. Within the UAE, an estimated Dh5,150,000 is allocated to aid 366,450 individuals, while internationally, Dh4,773,750 is set to support 579,853 beneficiaries. Key initiatives include the Iftar project, providing daily meals across 23 locations to 324,000 people, and the distribution of food baskets or cooked meals to support an average of five people per basket.
Additional projects include the seasonal and annual Zakat Al-Fitr, benefiting thousands both locally and abroad, and the Eid Al-Fitr clothing project, assisting families and orphans with new clothes for the Eid celebration.
Dr. Al Muhairi called on philanthropists to support the campaign’s charitable and humanitarian objectives, highlighting various donation channels such as the Dar Al Ber’s website, smart applications, shopping center representatives, or directly at the Society’s branches.
