Following a week marked by hailstorms and persistent wet conditions, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is gearing up for another bout of severe weather over the weekend. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a forecast indicating a significant weather event affecting the entire country from late Thursday night through Sunday, with the most intense conditions expected on Saturday.
Residents experienced partly cloudy skies on Thursday, which will give way to cloudier conditions overnight into Friday morning. These conditions are due to convective clouds that are likely to bring rainfall, especially in scattered areas of the western regions.
The upcoming weather event will span across most parts of the UAE, extending from the western regions to the north and east. In anticipation of the adverse weather conditions, UAE authorities have scheduled a special media briefing for today, March 7, at 5 pm.
