Mahzooz, a prominent lottery draw in the region, announced its 158th weekly draw results on December 9. The draw stood out for awarding three individuals a significant prize of Dh100,000 each in its ‘Triple 100’ raffle. This recent event marks another milestone for Mahzooz, renowned for creating 64 millionaires and impacting thousands of lives.
Among the trio of winners, Melkamu, a 31-year-old Ethiopian expatriate living in Ajman, UAE, has emerged as a notable victor. Employed as a private driver, Melkamu has been a resident in the UAE for six years. His discovery of the win while watching the draw live on YouTube marked a turning point, transforming his consistent participation over two years into a significant financial gain.
Melkamu’s aspirations of purchasing a house for his family, owning a car, and starting a business back in Ethiopia are now closer to reality, thanks to his newfound fortune.
Joining Melkamu in the winners’ circle are Omar, a 29-year-old Lebanese national residing in Saudi Arabia, and Aamir, a 47-year-old Pakistani living in Abu Dhabi. Both have their unique stories of participation and discovery of their wins. Omar, working in sales, learned about Mahzooz from a friend and won in his first draw. Aamir, a security and support service manager and a father of three, initially doubted his win, thinking it was a decimal point error.
The winners’ diverse backgrounds underscore Mahzooz’s global appeal. It’s not just a draw; it’s a beacon of hope for many, offering not only substantial monetary prizes but also fulfilling aspirations and dreams.
For a nominal entry fee of Dh35, participants can join the weekly draws, which include chances to win various prizes, including the coveted top prize of Dh20 million.
