UAE bands invited to compete for chance to open for Apocalyptica in Dubai

UAE bands now have the chance to showcase their talents on a major stage by applying to be the opening act for Finnish cello rockers Apocalyptica at The Agenda in Dubai. The concert, part of Apocalyptica’s tour that began in Helsinki on June 8th and will end in Belgrade on November 30th, marks the band’s Dubai debut and is scheduled for September 13th.

The chosen band will perform in front of over 2,000 fans at one of Dubai’s premier music venues, joining a prestigious list of performers who have graced The Agenda’s stage, including English rock band Nothing But Thieves and Moroccan-Canadian singer Faouzia.

Bands can enter the competition by submitting their performance clips either directly through the competition platform or by posting on Instagram and tagging @allthingsliveme and @apocalypticaofficial.

Thomas Ovesen, CEO of All Things Live Middle East, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity. “This is a massive opportunity for us to celebrate the thriving music scene in the UAE,” he said. “There are so many talented bands out there, and this represents a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their music to a brand-new audience. We want to see the UAE’s best bands seize the moment and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play at The Agenda.”

On the night of the concert, Apocalyptica will perform songs from their latest album, “Apocalyptica Plays Metallica, Vol. 2,” released in June. Tickets for the event are now available, starting at AED 299.
