The UAE has declared visa-free entry for citizens traveling to Bosnia and Herzegovina. This announcement came into effect following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on visa exemption between the two countries on November 6, 2023.
The new agreement was signed by UAE’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konaković. The ceremony was attended by notable officials, including Zlatan Burzić and Mirela Bubalo, representing the Bosnian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This mutual visa waiver is designed to ease travel for tourism, business, and short-term visits, potentially increasing the flow of people and trade between the two nations. Both UAE and Bosnian citizens who possess valid passports will be able to take advantage of this arrangement, highlighting the commitment of both nations to foster a closer relationship.
