Under the new arrangement, UAE nationals who possess Special, Mission, or ordinary passports with a minimum validity of six months can now enter Uzbekistan without the need for an electronic visa. These travelers are entitled to stay for up to 30 days per visit.
Likewise, Uzbek citizens holding biometric passports, whether for international travel or domestic return, are granted the same visa-free access to the UAE. This policy aims to simplify movement and foster closer ties between the people of the two countries.
The memorandum was officially signed by Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, the Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Abdulaziz Akkulov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UAE. Both parties expressed their commitment to this initiative, highlighting its potential to boost cooperation across various domains, including politics, economy, culture, and education.
