The UAE fuel price committee has announced the new petrol and diesel prices for June 2024.
Effective from June 1, Super 98 petrol will be priced at AED 3.14 per litre, down from AED 3.34 in May. Special 95 petrol will cost AED 3.02 per litre, a decrease from AED 3.22 the previous month. E-Plus 91 petrol will be available at AED 2.95 per litre, reduced from AED 3.15. Diesel prices will also drop to AED 2.88 per litre from AED 3.07.
This reduction marks the first decrease in petrol prices since February, following a trend of month-on-month increases.
Since 2015, fuel prices in the UAE have been aligned with international market trends. The prices are set by the fuel price committee, which includes members from the energy and finance ministries and CEOs of Adnoc Distribution and Emirates National Oil Company. The committee bases its decisions on an average of global prices and the operating costs of distribution companies.
