UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid a fraternal visit to Doha, where he met with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to reinforce the growing partnership between their two nations amid heightened regional developments.
During their meeting, the leaders reaffirmed the strength of UAE-Qatar relations and discussed ways to deepen cooperation across various fields for the benefit of their people. They also tackled recent geopolitical shifts in the Middle East, particularly the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, highlighting the urgency of fostering regional peace and security.
Sheikh Mohamed commended Sheikh Tamim’s role in helping facilitate the ceasefire, calling attention to the need for continued international collaboration to protect the region from escalating tensions.
The UAE President also expressed his country’s full solidarity with Qatar following the recent attack on its territory. He assured Sheikh Tamim of the UAE’s unwavering support for Qatar’s efforts to ensure the safety of its people.
In response, Sheikh Tamim thanked the UAE leader for his genuine concern and appreciated the UAE’s supportive stance during a critical time. Both leaders emphasized that diplomacy and dialogue remain the most effective means to address conflicts and safeguard long-term regional and global stability.
Accompanying Sheikh Mohamed on the visit were senior UAE officials including Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence, as well as other key dignitaries. The UAE President was later seen off by Sheikh Tamim and high-ranking Qatari officials as he concluded his visit.
