The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has officially opened applications for the third edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award, an initiative that celebrates excellence among private sector companies and workers across the country.
This year’s edition features a boosted prize pool of AED 50 million—an increase from last year’s AED 37 million—set to reward 98 outstanding winners, up from 84 previously.
In a fresh move to enhance worker welfare, a new subcategory under ‘Labour Accommodations’ has been introduced, focusing on sustainable and recreational programs for workers during holidays. The goal is to uplift employee morale and productivity while strengthening their sense of community.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, acknowledged the ongoing support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing the award’s growing reputation as a benchmark for excellence in the labour sector. He also noted the initiative’s alignment with the UAE’s forward-looking goals in sustainability, innovation, and workforce development.
The award spans five key categories: outstanding human resource practices, exemplary employees, top-tier labour accommodations, exceptional business service providers, and special recognitions for pioneering contributions.
Applications are open through the official award website until August 31, with a grand awards ceremony scheduled for November.
Top-performing companies will receive significant perks, including classification upgrades and discounts on MoHRE services—up to AED 1.2 million for first-place winners. Second and third place firms will also enjoy major savings and access to premium ministry support.
Individuals excelling in their fields aren’t left out—first place winners will receive AED 100,000, with AED 75,000 and AED 50,000 awarded to the second and third place, respectively.
Entries will be evaluated by expert committees using a set of comprehensive benchmarks, including innovation, employee welfare, workplace safety, wage relations, and social responsibility.
