Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of a new flight route to Turkistan, Kazakhstan, starting on 1st February 2024. The service will operate three times weekly, with tickets now on sale from AED 159. This addition aims to provide affordable travel options and enhance connections between the UAE and Central Asia.
Turkistan, known for its significant historical sites like the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, offers a blend of culture and nature. The city is a testament to Kazakhstan’s rich heritage, offering visitors an array of experiences from UNESCO World Heritage sites to national parks and lakes.
Abu Dhabi, the airline’s hub, is a cultural and tourist hotspot with year-round sunshine and a range of attractions suitable for all ages. Johan Eidhagen, Managing Director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, expressed excitement over the new route, highlighting Kazakhstan’s appeal to adventure seekers and Wizz Air’s commitment to affordable travel in the region.
Similarly, Hamdi Güvenç of YDA Group emphasized the importance of Turkistan as a destination and expressed optimism for future flight expansions. The partnership with Wizz Air has also seen increased flight frequencies to Dalaman Airport in Turkey.
The airline reassures customers with its WIZZ Flex program, allowing passengers to alter flights without fees. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi continues to expand its network, connecting various destinations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
