Applicants seeking UAE entry permits will now need to provide an additional document — a copy of their passport’s front cover — alongside existing requirements.
Typing centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as Amer Centres, told Gulf News that the change was introduced through a circular issued by immigration authorities earlier this month. The notice explained: “Passport external page has been added as a mandatory document for all entry permit applications. This requirement applies to all nationalities and all visa types and affects the following application types – new entry permit.”
The adjustment applies across the board, covering every nationality and visa category. Gulf News reported that it has sought official comment from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai).
For confirmation and up-to-date guidance, applicants are advised to contact the ICP at 600 522222 or GDRFA-Dubai at 800 5111.
