A 12-year-old Emirati boy was killed in a tragic bicycle accident on Monday evening in Fujairah’s Al Faseel area, according to Fujairah Police.
The boy was struck by a vehicle and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The police confirmed that the driver involved in the accident was arrested at the scene and has been referred to public prosecution for further investigation.
This incident follows a series of recent fatal accidents involving children. Last month, a student died and 11 others were injured in a vehicle crash on the Hatta-Lahbab Road in Dubai. In February, another 12-year-old boy was killed in Sharjah after being hit by a car while crossing the road.
