Two pristine coastal gems from the Philippines have once again captured international recognition, landing spots on the prestigious World’s Best 50 Beaches list for 2025.
Entalula Beach in El Nido, Palawan climbed to the second spot, just behind Italy’s Cala Goloritze, while Bonbon Beach in Romblon rose to 38th place—both showing improvements from their rankings last year.
Entalula Beach, often described as a secluded paradise, was lauded for its dramatic limestone formations, powdery white sand, and calm, reef-rich waters perfect for snorkeling. Its relatively hidden location—accessible only by boat—has helped preserve its untouched beauty, making it a favorite for those seeking tranquility away from tourist-heavy spots.
Meanwhile, Bonbon Beach was praised for its unspoiled charm, marked by a scenic sandbar that connects to Bangug Island during low tide. With its clear waters and serene surroundings, the beach offers a quiet retreat for nature lovers.
Thailand’s Bang Bao Beach, Greece’s Fteri Beach, and French Polynesia’s PK 9 Beach rounded out the top five on the list.
This year’s selection also welcomed entries from new countries including Madagascar, Yemen, the UAE, Sri Lanka, and Ireland, as well as remote territories such as the British Virgin Islands and American Samoa.
Compiled with input from over 1,000 seasoned travel professionals and reviewed by dedicated “beach ambassadors,” the rankings celebrated destinations for their natural beauty, peaceful ambiance, accessibility, and wildlife.
