The South Korean reality competition show “Universe Ticket” recently concluded with the formation of the new K-pop girl group UNIS, and it’s making history by including not one but three talented Filipinas in its final lineup.
Joining the 14-year-old sensation Elisia Parmisano are 22-year-old Filipino-Korean Jin Hyeon-ju and 16-year-old Gehlee Dangca from Las Piñas. This marks a significant moment for K-pop, as UNIS will be the first K-pop group with a dedicated Filipino line.
The full UNIS lineup is now complete, including members Nana, Oh Yoona, Kotoko, Lim Seo-won, and Bang Yunha. Elisia Parmisano made history as the first Filipino to secure a spot in the girl group after emerging as the top contestant in the survival show, an achievement that garnered widespread attention.
While a debut date for UNIS has yet to be announced, K-pop enthusiasts around the world are eagerly anticipating what this diverse group has in store for the industry. The show “Universe Ticket” featured renowned judges including singer and actress Kim Se-jeong, singer Younha, and record producer Adora.
