Two groups of Indian expatriates in the UAE have each won $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw, Khaleej Times reported.
Abdul Azeez, a 38-year-old Indian national based in Dubai, won the prize alongside his brother and two friends after purchasing their third-ever Millennium Millionaire ticket. Azeez, who has lived in Dubai for 12 years and works as a driver and messenger, expressed his excitement after hearing his name announced during the live draw on social media. “Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this life-changing opportunity,” he said.
A second group of ten expatriates, led by 48-year-old Naseer Arikkoth from Sharjah, also claimed a $1 million prize. Arikkoth, a father of two who works at a supermarket, expressed his gratitude, calling it “a wonderful blessing for all of us.”
In addition to the cash prizes, Indian national Mohammed Najmul Hasan won a BMW R 1250 GS Adventure motorcycle in the Finest Surprise draw, though Dubai Duty Free has been unable to contact him.
