Two Emirati children, aged 8 and 7, tragically lost their lives in a house fire in Fujairah, while a 5-year-old was seriously injured.
According to a Khaleej Times report, the incident occurred early Tuesday morning in the Al Tuwiyain area. Fujairah Civil Defence responded promptly after being alerted at 2am, managing to rescue the injured child who was then transported to Dibba Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. As the summer season begins, Brigadier Ali Obaid Al Tunaiji, Director of the Fujairah Civil Defence, emphasized the importance of adhering to safety guidelines, particularly concerning electrical maintenance to prevent overloads from air conditioning and refrigeration units.
Major General Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, the local police commander, extended his condolences to the family of the deceased children and wished a quick recovery for the injured.
