True Gamers, the renowned international network of eSports clubs, has announced ambitious plans to develop the world’s inaugural eSports Island in Abu Dhabi. This groundbreaking project, according to a WhatsOn report, will encompass a luxurious hotel, cutting-edge gaming arenas, professional training facilities, and more, catering to the burgeoning eSports community.
Named eSports Island, the project is slated to be situated in Al Raha Creek in Al Seef, adjacent to Hope Island. With an estimated cost exceeding $280 million, it marks a significant milestone in the global eSports industry.
The island’s facilities will include GG Bootcamps, providing hardcore gamers with state-of-the-art equipment and training resources, along with a children’s eSports camp to cultivate the next generation of gaming talent. Additionally, the GG Resort will offer 200 opulent rooms equipped with high-performance computers, complemented by leisure amenities such as a spa, pool, and beachfront.
At the heart of the island will be the TG Arena, a premier venue for international eSports tournaments, digital exhibitions, and conferences. With versatile infrastructure capable of accommodating various gaming genres and formats, it aims to become a hub for innovation and competition in the digital realm.
Anton Vasilenko, CEO and co-founder of True Gamers, expressed confidence in the project’s viability, citing extensive market analysis of the eSports landscape in the MENA region and beyond.
True Gamers, established in 2019, has rapidly expanded its network to encompass 124 eSports halls in the UAE and Eastern Europe. In Saudi Arabia, the company has inked agreements for 150 clubs with a total investment exceeding $45 million.
