Cebu Pacific and AirAsia have unveiled enticing flight promotions for their domestic routes.
Cebu Pacific is offering a one-way base fare starting at just P199 for the remaining days of August, with a travel period stretching from Sept. 15, 2023, to Jan. 31, 2024.
Popular destinations under this deal include Boracay, Puerto Princesa, Davao, and Iloilo.
However, these fares are exclusive of fees and surcharges, and travelers are provided with a 7 kg hand-carry baggage allowance.
Additional fees, such as the web admin fee, 12% VAT, terminal fees, and fuel surcharge, are applicable. Bookings can be made directly via the Cebu Pacific’s seat sale section.
On the other hand, AirAsia is offering an even more enticing deal with flights priced at a mere P1 one-way base fare.
Announced on their Facebook page on August 18, this promotion allows passengers to book flights from Manila, Cebu, and Clark to select destinations.
The booking window is from August 18 to 27, with a travel period from Feb. 19, 2024, to Jan. 19, 2025.
To avail of this offer, prospective travelers must sign up for a membership on the AirAsia Super App or through its website.
However, travelers should be aware of the recent advisory by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
Due to recent increases in oil prices, CAB has raised the fuel surcharge rate to Level 6 for September. Domestic flight fuel surcharges may range from P185 to P655 per passenger, while international flights could see surcharges between P610.37 to P4,538.40.
Although this remains an optional fee for airlines, those wishing to impose it must file their application with CAB.
