The UAE is gearing up for a significant event this weekend as the Dubai Run transforms Sheikh Zayed Road into a vast running track on Sunday, November 26. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a traffic advisory, detailing road closures and alternate routes to facilitate the smooth conduct of this popular event.
In addition to Sheikh Zayed Road, several other major streets in Dubai will be temporarily closed, impacting regular traffic flow. The RTA has released a comprehensive list of affected roads, as well as those that will remain open to ensure residents and visitors can plan their travel accordingly.
Public transport users are advised to maintain a minimum balance of Dh15 on their Nol cards for roundtrip journeys, as per RTA’s recommendation.
Dubai Run, the grand finale of the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge, is renowned as the world’s largest free fun run. Last year, the event set a record with 193,000 participants, including runners, joggers, wheelers, and walkers, making it the largest community fitness event globally.
