House Deputy Majority Leader Rep. Erwin Tulfo has emerged as the frontrunner in the senatorial preference survey for the upcoming May 2025 elections, according to a report by OCTA Research. The survey, conducted from August 28 to September 2, 2024, revealed that 60% of respondents are inclined to vote for Tulfo, putting him in the lead.
Close behind Tulfo is his brother, Ben Tulfo, who garnered 57% of the votes, solidifying the siblings’ dominance in the survey. Tito Sotto secured third place with 50%, followed by Bong Go with 49%. Rounding out the top five are Ping Lacson and Bong Revilla, both tied with 44%.
On the other end of the spectrum, the bottom five candidates in the survey include Bato Dela Rosa and Benhur Abalos, both at 28%, and Doc Willie Ong at 28%, tying them for the 10th to 16th spots. Rodrigo Duterte sits at 33%, placing him among the candidates ranked from 7th to 15th.
