As the Eid Al Adha holiday approaches, Skyscanner, the global travel marketplace, has released insights into travel preferences and trends for UAE residents. According to Skyscanner’s data, June 14, 2024, is the most favored departure date, with 53% of travelers looking for trips lasting one week or less. Another 33% are planning vacations lasting between 1-2 weeks.
This year, New York, Tokyo, and Athens top the list of trending destinations, experiencing significant increases in search volume compared to the previous year. Additionally, the top five most searched cities by UAE travelers ahead of Eid Al Adha include London, Athens, New York, Cairo, and Manchester.
Ayoub El Mamoun, a travel expert at Skyscanner, noted, “The rising interest in destinations like New York and Malé reflects the adventurous spirit of UAE travelers. With Skyscanner’s tools like the ‘Everywhere’ search and ‘up whole month’ feature, we empower travelers to discover the best deals and destinations for their holidays.”
